Abstract

As a material carrier of industrial civilization and collective memory, industrial heritage constitutes an important component of human cultural heritage and a key object for maintaining urban context and reconstructing social identity. The protection and regeneration of urban industrial heritage landscapes contain dual narrative paradigms of the explicit and the implicit. Explicit narrative is centered on material preservation, symbolic translation, temporal-spatial layering, and identity recognition, emphasizing the physical continuity of industrial heritage and the reconstruction of spatial functions. Implicit narrative focuses on memory excavation, emotional coding, technical inheritance, and spiritual transformation, revealing the cultural genes and collective spirit embedded in industrial heritage. On this basis, this paper constructs a three-dimensional symbiotic logic model of “space-time-subject”. Taking Taoxichuan in Jingdezhen as an empirical case, the study examines the feasibility of the explicit-implicit symbiotic narrative paradigm and provides a theoretical perspective and practical path for the protection and activation of urban industrial heritage landscapes.
