Scope

Embodied and Biomimetic Intelligence is an international, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open access journal aiming to provide a dedicated forum for research on biologically inspired sensing, computing, materials, devices, systems, and intelligent agents. The journal focuses on how principles from biological systems can inspire new forms of perception, computation, adaptation, control, collective coordination, human-machine symbiosis, and embodied interaction in artificial and hybrid intelligent systems.

The journal particularly encourages submissions that go beyond single-device, single-algorithm, or single-robot demonstrations and instead provide clear links across biological principles, sensing mechanisms, computational architectures, physical embodiment, collective behavior, human-machine interaction, and real-world system validation.

It welcomes original research articles, reviews, perspectives, methods papers, benchmark and dataset papers, and system-level demonstrations that bridge biomimetic design, intelligent sensing, neuromorphic and in-sensor computing, soft and bio-inspired robotics, collective embodied intelligence, human-machine symbiotic systems, and embodied artificial intelligence.
